About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work in a team to strategize and implement interventions to ensure best waste management practices
2. Work on the project to be done with 2000 households within R/North ward (Dahisar) of Mumbai where we are currently running an MRF
3. Work to get the expected outcome of the project i.e. to get the households to segregate their waste
4. Collect baseline data of household awareness level and dry waste generated in the selected housing societies before the pilot
5. Coordinate with housing societies during pilot implementation, identify local champions in the housing societies for further sustainability of projects
6. Distribute waste management toolkit to individual households
7. Undertake training and capacity building of the housekeeping and cleaning staff in housing societies
8. Collect the end line data from households at the end of 3 months
