Computer Networking & Hardware Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Install and support LANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems
2. Install and maintain network hardware and software
3. Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
4. Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
5. Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
6. Assign configuration and authorization of directory services.
7. Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches
8. Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
9. Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
10. Create and control over all the login details for developers and programmers
11. Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.
12. Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
13. Work on the configuration of routing and switching equipment
14. Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers
15. Perform proper documentation and updating of all databases and backups
