Computer Operations Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Monitor the operation of all systems and hardware
2. Work closely with data entry operators to coordinate processing cycle
3. Assist in providing security of data and ensure confidentiality of information services
4. Maintain a detailed understanding of work process requirements and data supply for application systems
5. Maintain knowledge of the applicable system's hardware and systems software configurations for all computer systems
6. Monitor and ensure balanced and effective system operating environment and end-user activity
7. Maintain systems backup as scheduled
8. Maintain processing logs and documents and maintain all run and procedure manual
9. Assist in distributing prepared material
10. Work with programmers and system analyst to determine problems and solve them
11. Maintain the data communications configurations and assist in the resolution of end-user communication failures
12. Ensure prompt report of unresolved hardware problems to supervisor
13. Monitor the computer room and work station environment and maintain knowledge of requirements of all power backup, equipment, and workplace
14. Perform duties assigned by the supervisor to the minimal satisfactory level and compliance with all guidelines and work ethics
