Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Collecting, verifying, and analyzing thoroughly newsworthy information
2. Assembling findings into a stable story
3. Writing and delivering news stories with the reader's perspective in mind
4. Submit news stories to the editorial team
5. Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
6. Abide by journalism's ethics and codes
7. Contact, interview, and research sources
8. Maintain notes and audio/video recordings
9. Cooperate with other reporters, chief editor, producers, etc.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest current events in the beat- by studying papers, attending events, etc.
