This internship will involve working on data mining. You will be using techniques to mine data from various sources and websites. Students keen to gain some experience in data research & learn aspects of it are invited to apply. Intern will assist in conducting research, collating data, compiling and cleaning up of data, and organizing the data in a usable and desired format.
1. Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing the data in a usable format
2. Designing and maintaining data systems
3. Managing master data: including creation, updates, and deletion
4. Interpreting data and preparing reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
5. Working with management to prioritize business and information needs and ensure timely report submissions

Added requirements
1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
2. Students with technical background i.e. computer science, data analyst, statistics, mathematics or any other quantitative field will be preferred
3. Experience in data mining will be a plus or in a related field preferable but not mandatory
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Proficient with Microsoft Excel ( In particular) and other Microsoft Office applications
