Data science and business analysis have some common skills and tasks. Your mentors will give you options to select the tasks from as per your technical skills.
Selected intern's day to day responsibilities include:
1. Write codes to collect, crunch and analyze data from internal and external sources
2. Build and tune machine learning models using R, Python, and sci-kit-learn
3. Create linkages between various data within business intelligence software to enable predictive modeling and trend analysis on a given dataset
4. Use BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI to analyze data, find important patterns, and design visualization dashboards on the given dataset
5. Build a strong professional public profile for yourself, present given tasks and submissions; and improve skills through various activities as part of the internship
6. Work in an agile environment as part of an interdisciplinary development team on the implementation of those ideas
