1. Editing op-ed s e-newsletters (50%) and reporting to the advocacy director & communications director
2. Serving as the lead author and editor for op-ed s newsletters, editing for content, length, and style, and managing all steps of the publication process
3. Overseeing a team of interns who contribute newsletter content
4. Working with advocacy and communications teams to ensure timely publication
5. Helping to manage newsletter mailing lists and expanding subscribers and readership
6. Editing op-ed s research publications (50%) and reporting to the deputy director for research
7. Assisting with all stages of the editorial process for research publications, including editing for length, content, accuracy, and style; fact-checking; and copyediting
8. Following relevant developments in the region, in U.S. policy, and in the debates of the Washington policy community to help identify publication topics and authors for op-ed
9. Contributing to outreach and publicity for publications
10. Conducting occasional research in support of the research program and other op-ed activities
CASPR India is a Section 8, not-for-profit company registered under the Indian Companies Act. It is an independent institution that, through its various initiatives, aims to contribute to effective policy formulation, execution, and sustainability. We work as a critical think tank and involve ourselves in promoting interdisciplinary research, predominantly in the areas viz. economic & social policy, governance, law, state, history, anthropology, media studies, political science, international relations, etc. CASPR works as a catalyst to connect the research and allied activities to the policymaking process. Though the trust/organization is a research center at the core, it could also embark on its courses/programs soon.
