About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Improving material performance by studying structure-property relationship through various characterization techniques
2. Performing all stages of a research project from ideation, designing & performing experiments, sample characterization & data analysis
3. Identifying problems & limitations with existing material system and applying technical expertise & analytical thinking to come up with better alternatives
4. Preparing technical reports with the compilation of original lab results, presenting scientific findings in the team meetings
5. Performing exhaustive literature review and sharing results with higher management
6. Foreseeing the challenges in scaling up of the developed lab processes; support the transfer of technology from lab scale to pilot plant and finally to commercialization
7. Running & prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously without missing any deadline
8. Troubleshooting scientific & equipment specific issues in the lab

Additional information

Job offer: On successful conversion to a permanent employee, the candidate can expect a salary of Rs. 400000 to 800000 /year

Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (₹ 5000 per overall performance).
