Appiko's mission is to develop low-cost, modular and scalable technology for wildlife conservation. We are a team of competent engineers who develop cutting-edge products and services for this mission. Also, all the technology developed by Appiko would be open source since any competition/collaboration in this space is useful. Appiko was founded in Oct 2017 and right now we are a team of four. Currently, at Appiko we are developing a suite of low-cost, power-efficient and easy to use sensors for detecting various species of animals. We are working with forest officers, conservationists, and filmmakers on various projects including a real-time elephant warning system. Appiko is a recipient of the Elevate 100 grant by the Government of Karnataka.
