80 million tonnes of crop residue is burnt every year in India. Craste aims to build sustainable products from crop residue as the starting raw material without the use of harmful chemical based adhesives. From a market perspective, we aim to introduce new substitute products to polymer-based alternatives. Our team has designed and developed a novel material from crop residues from agricultural fields using a special binding agent. This could be potentially used for packaging, construction of sustainable infrastructure such as roads, flooring, furniture, etc.
