1. Assist full-time staff with day-to-day operations and event planning
2. Assist with vendor outreach to collect images, testimonials, etc.
3. Make and answer calls and assist in answering inquiries about our events
4. Assist in the areas of marketing, event development, and sponsorship/development as needed.
5. Assist the communications & marketing department with day-to-day promotion of our events
6. Assist with the management of our social media outlets (this includes increasing interactions, brainstorming ideas & analyzing results)
Requirements:
1. Graduate student with an aptitude to work in event planning, customer service, marketing and association management fields
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a willingness to conduct outbound sales calls
3. Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and LinkedIn
Additional Information:
Event Interns will directly assist the events department with projects related to day-to-day event operations & planning. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. The candidate will gain firsthand knowledge about many grassroots organizations educating our members and business partners and will gain professional experience in communications, marketing, analytics, outreach, and event planning for a thriving nonprofit organization.
