About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Managing the design process from conception through to final styling
2. Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration
3. Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, making edits to the line, and creating new concepts
4. Ensuring the product is in agreement with the business strategy
5. Selecting fabrics and trims
6. Creating production sketches for development packages
7. Collaborating with the technical designers to ensure development packages are accurate
8. Reviewing product for style and fit during the presentation
9. Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers

Added requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in design or fine arts, or college degree in fashion design or related field

2. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator

3. Availability to travel for research and product development

4. Ability to do sketches by hand

5. Excellent design and conceptual skills

6. Excellent sense of style and color

7. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

8. Ability to meet multiple deadlines
