1. Work with the design team on sampling approval, fitting, patterns, and the entire process from sampling to production
2. Plan the entire range, from initial inspiration sourcing to the final design illustration, technical drawings, and CAD development
3. Research international and local trends, fabrics, prints, color & competitor product ranges, etc.
4. Handle QC with vendor management
5. Work closely with buyers and other merchandisers to plan product ranges
6. Meet with suppliers, distributors, and analysts
7. Manage sample costs with respect to their department
8. Negotiate quantities and delivery timescales
9. Manage levels and distribution of stock
10. Handle supply/production problems as they arise
11. Set stock promotions/price reductions as appropriate
