Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Handle end-to-end development (databases, backend, frontend)
2. Develop responsive web applications
3. Solve complex technical challenges
4. Design, develop and deploy the overall architecture of web applications
5. Collaborate with the product team to design and implement new features
6. Convert design requirements into working applications
7. Assist in deploying systems to our cloud infrastructure
Technical Requirements:
1. Good understanding of PHP/JavaScript frameworks such as Laravel, Node.js, and CodeIgniter
2. Knowledge of Ajax call using JavaScript/jQuery
3. Good knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL/MS SQL
4. Experience using version control such as GitHub, etc.
5. Strong background in OOP and design patterns
6. Basic knowledge of Linux (preferred)
Key points:
1. Passionate in building map-based applications using Leaflet Maps, OpenLayers, Mapbox
2. Have a sound understanding of ArcGIS APIs
3. Have a good understanding of GIS Concepts
4. A solid understanding of software basics
5. Always willing to learn and explore upcoming technologies
6. Pro-active, reliable, and result oriented
7. Someone who can continuously perform in a fast-paced environment
Bonus:
1. Experience in developing applications using C# .NET
2. Contributions to open-source with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, etc.
