About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Define data collection methodologies for baseline and monitoring systems
2. Design the field data collection process for mapping and train field staff in data collection
3. Create maps and perform spatial analysis
4. Assist in field data collection
5. Monitor and administer databases
6. Design mechanisms for documenting progress and reporting
7. Perform any other duties as required

Skills & Requirements:

1. Master's degree in geography or earth science, or a related field
2. Bachelor's degree with an additional 2 years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a master's degree
3. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
4. Experience with GIS systems and tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS
5. Fluency in English and Hindi languages, with excellent written and oral communication skills
6. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy, and cultural sensitivity to a wide range of stakeholders at different levels
7. Excellent team working skills
8. Basic IT skills, including the use of major software packages such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and others as relevant
