Sutradhar India is a Pune-based social enterprise co-founded by trained Kathak dancers, Madhura Aphale and Toshal Gandhi, senior students of Kathak exponent Guru. Pandita Maneesha Sathe. Sutradhar aims to create a difference in the society through several art-based initiatives. Using the background of dance training and cultural management, Sutradhar works to get people closer on the common ground of art, make people aware of different socio-cultural issues and create a community to make a difference
Founded in 2017, in Pune, Sutradhar has come up with various unique formats to address social issues like Interactive Talks Shows, Kathak-based Productions, Social Dance Education Projects and Performance Collaborations with social enterprises. Sutradhar also works towards making all their shows deaf accessible through collaborations.
