About the internship

The Intern will work closely with staff in the city operations team on key projects that leverage one s knowledge and experience of the fellowship towards strengthening fellow support and ensuring smooth operations in the city.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Create and execute a plan for recruitment of volunteers, and streamline the process of volunteer management for Teach for India, Chennai to be smooth and sustainable
2. Ideate and execute plans on building culture and engaging staff and fellows, including the creation of newsletters
3. Assist the city HR POC in managing operations for Teach for India, Chennai including event management, documentation, logistics, etc.
4. Assist the city HR POC in recording and reporting absences for payroll processing
5. Create an induction and onboarding plan for the incoming cohort of Teach for India fellows
