1. Work with management to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees
2. Work with management to set-up company policies (including sexual harassment, appropriate dress, and social media permissions, etc.) adhering to rules of law, and keep employee handbook updated and continually educate employees on any developments
3. Set-up and maintain thorough HRIS, monitor employee progress, stay abreast on company climate and culture
4. Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.) and take minutes
5. Direct all hiring and training procedures for new employees, deal with employee requests and execute changes to existing payroll, benefits, health plans, retirement plans, etc.
6. Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure employees from all department are properly connected
7. Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues
8. Understand and adhere to all pertinent labor laws
9. Manage workplace requirements by coordinating with house-keeping and maintenance staff for equipment, stationery, and any other ad-hoc office supplies
