Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Outline client design objectives.
2. Conceptualise ideas and build 3d sketch designs.
3. Drafting working / production drawings
4. Reviewing sketches and drawings by architects or designers for feasibility and functionality
5. Creating floor plans, room layouts, and other designs using computer aided design (CAD) software
6. Analysing client needs and preferences to determine project goals, objectives, and design solutions
7. Identifying the best materials for surfaces and furnishings based on price and availability
8. Communicating with clients to obtain feedback about their preferences and needs
Participating in design meetings with clients to discuss concepts and gather information about their preferences and needs
9. Presenting designs to clients for approval before moving forward with construction or production
