Interior Design Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Create drawings in AutoCAD and/or CET (typicals, furniture plans, 3D's)
2. Check other designers specifications
3. Work on consistent updates to design manager
4. Work on continuous project updates with the sales team
5. Work on the maintenance of internal reporting systems, i.e. timesheets and project files
6. Adhere to deadlines of key deliverables
7. Prepare installation drawings and supporting documents (specs)
8. Identify areas that need field verification and coordinate actual dimensions with final plan Inventory existing product; incorporate in furniture plans and specifications
9. Create sample boards
10. Work on continuing education related to product updates and industry trends
11. Create specifications and .sif files (including key schedules and tagging)
12. Revise drawings and specs (including .sif) when required
13. Assist with budget pricing
14. Design team aids sales with initial customer meeting
15. Work on programming and needs analysis
16. Develop creative solutions based on customer needs
17. Work on space planning to meet the customer's requests using standards if applicable
18. Develop plans that consider ergonomics and ADA
