The Cardiff gravitational physics group invites applications from motivated undergraduate students for Summer Internship Research Positions.
About Cardiff University - School Of Physics And Astronomy
Cardiff School of Physics and Astronomy is part of Cardiff University and is based at the Queen's Buildings on The Parade, Cardiff, close to the city center. The School offers a variety of undergraduate (BSc, MPhys) and postgraduate (Ph.D., MPhil, MSc) degrees and currently has a total of 350 undergraduate students and 57 postgraduate students undertaking degrees in the subjects of Physics and Astronomy.
About the internship
Possible research topics include modeling binary black hole orbits and their gravitational wave emission, strong-field tests of gravity, and the development of techniques for detecting gravitational waves from supernovae or from the inspiral of neutron-star and black-hole binaries.

1. are available for full time (in-office) internship

2. are available for duration of 4 weeks

3. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements

1. Undergraduates worldwide now completing their second, third or fourth year of study can apply.
