About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Provide feedback for Section 508 compliance by scanning the new and existing Web and mobile applications as well as PDF, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint documents.
2. Consult/advise and participate in the design of various IT processes controls to support compliance with accessibility-related policies, standard, regulatory requirements, etc.
3. Develop and execute accessibility specific test cases, test scripts and suggest business requirements on accessibility aspects related to User Experience and Section 508 Compliance.
4. Drive WCAG 2.1 test compliance via manual reviews and using automated test tools.
5. Develop/Update and maintain WCAG 2.1 compliance testing processes and VPAT documentation based on industry and government best practices and standards.
6. Perform accessibility analysis on wireframes or mock-ups to identify potential accessibility violations.
7. Work with software development and BA teams to ensure 508/WCAG 2.0, 2.1 compliance.
8. Review Section 508/WCAG compliance defects with developers and discuss possible resolutions.

Other requirements

1. Bachelor's degree along with any experience in accessibility testing on both web and mobile applications is added advantage.

2. Good communicator in English - especially in writing skills to describe and report issues properly.

3. Able to define and execute web accessibility test scenarios, conditions, and test cases.

4. Knowledge of accessibility-related standards and guidelines and experience in testing them.

5. Exposure of testing ADA-508/ WCAG2.0 & WCAG2. 1 Level AA compliance standards.

6. Experience of using Accessibility tools for major browsers - Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari for desktop, Mac touch devices

7. Familiar with accessibility implementation techniques like right use of ARIA attributes, logical order correct HTML/HTML5 semantics, CSS, Data Table structure.

8. Experience in documentation using accessibility checker in PDF, Word, Powerpoint & Excel.

9. Experience in using shortcuts and keystrokes for assistive technologies.

10. Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/ Scrum software methodologies.
