Law/Legal Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Perform patent searches and investigate competitor technology
2. Conduct patent clearance investigations
3. Develop knowledge of business unit patent and trademark portfolios
4. Develop knowledge of competitor IP
5. Help maintain patent marking websites
6. In coordination with company personnel and outside counsel, develop a strategy to grow the patent portfolio
7. Review competitor patents and classify them
8. Review work performed by outside counsel
9. Draft patent applications and office action responses
10. Interact with inventors and coordinate invention disclosures
11. Review and draft license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other contracts
12. Provide support for IP litigation
13. Conduct trademark searches and provide input on trademark filings
