About the internship

Ideal candidates for this position will have a master's degree in law and a few years of work experience in disputes resolution. They will work closely with students and faculty to ensure quality work by students, strong classroom participation, and clear communication of expectations and opportunities. Additionally, they will help grade assignments, design workshops, manage special projects, and develop learning tools for students. Further, ideal candidates will be compassionate, strong communicators, highly organized, and have a passion for excellence in education.

Selected intern's day to day responsibilities include:

1. Working closely with faculty in course preparation, grading, and communicating with students
2. Assisting students with assignments, deadlines, team learning activities, and preparation for exams and juries
3. Helping faculty with select research projects
4. Fostering classroom cohesion and active participation by students
5. Managing online portal for course information and assignments
6. Supporting the running of various labs and boot camps for students
7. Designing and delivering a workshop on a topic of personal interest and expertise

1. are available for full time (in-office) internship

2. can start the internship between 1st Dec'20 and 15th Dec'20

3. are available for duration of 3 months

4. have relevant skills and interests

Added requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in law from top tier law college, postgraduate degree preferred but not mandatory

2. About 1 to 3 years of work experience in disputes resolution, preferably in courts or tribunals located in Tamil Nadu

3. Robust understanding of alternate dispute resolution methods such as arbitration and mediation is preferred, but not mandatory

4. Good written and verbal communication skills

5. Good presentation and organization skills

6. Ability to be assertive in a classroom setting
