About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Draft H-1B petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification and other immigration benefits
2. Draft responses to the request for evidence issued by adjudicating authority
3. Handle end to end business visa application processing from filing applications to preparing employees for visa interviews
4. Support the preliminary process of handling employment-based green cards
5. Communicate regularly with the employees regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of cases
6. Coordinate with U.S. based attorneys on legal matters
7. Monitor material changes to the legal and/or enforcement environments respecting U.S. immigration law, developing recommendations for changes
8. Identify ways to improve team productivity and office-wide projects
9. Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress/status/issues to the supervisor

Who can apply

Added requirements

1. Should have a law degree from a reputed law school

2. Experience working in U.S. immigration is a plus

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated attention to detail

4. Highly autonomous and highly collaborative, as necessary

5. Able to demonstrate how to handle high volume caseload while maintaining a high level of productivity

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment
