About the internship

The Department of Legal Affairs (DOLA) organizes an internship programme for young law students and graduates. The purpose of this programme is to acquaint young law students and graduates with the working of Department of Legal Affairs by giving training in the field of research & referencing work, court functioning, tendering legal advice in various specialized fields of law such as constitutional & administrative law, finance law, infrastructure law, economic law, labour law, conveyancing, arbitration, and contract law, etc.

Each selected intern shall be deployed with officers/sections at Main Secretariat, New Delhi, Central Agency Section at the Supreme Court, Litigation High Court Section at Delhi, or Branch Secretariats in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, or Bengaluru.

Who can apply

Only those candidates can apply who:

1. are available for full time (in-office) internship

2. are available for duration of 1 month

3. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements

1. 3rd year and final year law students can apply

2. Graduates who have completed law degree course from any recognized college/law school/university are also eligible

3. Strong knowledge of computer (MS office, infographics, Adobe, etc.) will be preferred
