NARI is an NGO and non-profit research and development institute. It was established in 1968 by Mr. B.V. Nimbkar who remained in the role of president until 1990. Since then, Dr. Nandini Nimbkar has held the position of permanent president. The institute undertakes research and development in agriculture, renewable energy, animal husbandry, and sustainable development.
