About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Helping develop a mechanized pilot plant to process sweet sorghum juice into syrup
2. Assisting our team in developing technology for rural areas to help the farmers increase their income
3. Helping in other R&D projects

Note: Besides the stipend, the interns will be given a free place to live on campus.

Stipend Structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive of ₹ 6000 after successful completion of 6 months internship.
Only after the satisfactory completion of the internship (after 6 months) they will be given a performance-based lumpsum. If interns leave before 6 months no lumpsum will be given.

NARI is an NGO and non-profit research and development institute. It was established in 1968 by Mr. B.V. Nimbkar who remained in the role of president until 1990. Since then, Dr. Nandini Nimbkar has held the position of permanent president. The institute undertakes research and development in agriculture, renewable energy, animal husbandry, and sustainable development. Research at NARI is always undertaken with the intention of improving the lives of rural Indians in a sustainable manner.
