Up (http://upliance.ai) is founded by ex-Ather and ex-Chaayos founders and is making the next generation of Home Appliances. We are looking at developing a series of consumer products like refrigerators, washing machines, and cooking appliances. The first product we are working on is a cooking appliance that helps you cook things at home that are trending on Social Media. At Up you will be working on a real-life product with a 9-month development to production cycle just like a Formula Student Project but this time what you make actually goes to market and will change people s life.
We are an early-stage start-up and this role involves managing product development. You will be deeply involved in engineering a new product, and managing its BOM, CAD, and Production Goals.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for making CAD designs for parts and sub-assemblies
2. End-to-end responsibilities for some subassemblies
3. Coordinate with partners for plastic and metal parts
4. Perform and adhere to DFMEA analyses of new subassemblies
