About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work with vendors to identify merchandise that will be interesting to the FirstCry customer base
2. Plan season requirement for each account been handled
3. Identify mid-season inventory gaps and taking quick action on them
4. Develop merchandising strategy with marketing for the new season, festival or any carnival promotions
5. Decide as to which product to be introduced and removed
6. Work on the pricing of the product
7. Conduct market research and keep abreast with market trends
8. Negotiate with vendors for effective pricing
9. Range planning and budget allocation
10. Travel to vendors for price negotiations and bookings

Skills & requirements:

1. Required (must have) skills: Strong quantitative skills and use of excel is necessary. Sound technical knowledge in apparels.
2. Desired (good to have) skills: Candidates must have a natural inclination towards merchandise selection and vendor management. Interest or background in the baby or kids vertical in the apparel category (only). Strong communication.
3. Qualification: Graduate/PG (from any fashion institute)
