Mobile Application Development Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Acting as the lead iOS and/or Android developer (depending on the skillset they can lead the work for one platform and play a supporting role across the other)
2. Working closely with other mobile app developers leading the other platform development
3. Delivering across the entire app life cycle conceptualizing, designing, building, deploying, testing, releasing to app stores, and extending support
4. Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize products
5. Gathering requirements around functionality and translating those requirements into elegant functional solutions
6. Building prototypes at the tech scoping stage of projects
7. Working with the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps
8. Working with the front end developers to build the interface with a focus on usability features
9. Creating compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
10. Standardizing the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort
11. Optimizing performance for the apps
12. Staying up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies
13. Explaining technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
14. Attending industry events/conferences (both attending and presenting)
