About the internship
Hoopr is seeking a passionate music intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of music licensing and music programming. As a music intern, you will be at the heart of our content operations, listening to music and tagging it with relevant keywords, identifying BPM, key, and more. You'll assist the content team in shaping a comprehensive music programming strategy and collaborate with the marketing team to create mood-based playlists that resonate with our audience.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Listen to and analyze music tracks to carefully tag them with accurate keywords, moods, genres, BPM, key, and other relevant attributes
2. Assist the in-house content team in developing and executing music programming plans based on user needs and content availability
3. Support the content team in curating music for various projects, ensuring that our catalog is well-organized and optimized with relevant tags
4. Stay updated on trends in music and content consumption to help shape future programming strategies

1. A deep passion for music across various genres
2. Strong attention to detail and an ability to categorize music based on mood, genre, tempo, and key
3. Ability to work closely with multiple POCs and communicate effectively
4. Willingness to learn and contribute creatively to content programming and marketing strategies
5. Graduation from a music school or formal music education
