Operations Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Define the selection strategy
2. Grow and manage the selection by maintaining strong vendor relationships
3. Help to set up a category procurement support strategy
4. Manage item and vendor
5. Attend fairs and vendor meetings as required
6. Monitor and research industry and competitive trends to make the best offering to the customer.
7. Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
8. Meet with suitable vendors to assess their products
9. Work on monitoring sales trends to determine which products are more popular than others
10. Work on implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured
11. Work on establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors
12. Work on evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them
13. Work on understanding the marketplaces and being the point of contact for vendors and assisting in operations and other issues
