About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Supporting operations in digitalization
2. Capturing and recording required documentation during logistics operations
3. Maintaining and updating MIS and other reports
4. Coordinating with the on-field operation teams, across all stations to ensure smooth operations
5. Visiting the cargo complex and assisting in cargo operations, as and when required

Note: We can offer 4 internships in these 4 locations (1 each). Out of this, only Chennai will be working from the office on a daily basis, the rest will be working from home and visiting the airport/cargo complex as per the work requirement.

About Airlift Services Private Limited

Established in 1981, the Pelican group started with the formation of Pelican Air as a general sales agent for Air France, KLM, Martin Air. It diversified into 3PL in 1999 with Atlas Logistics which was later sold to SBS Transport, Japan in 2011 for US $ 30 mil. Owing to an 8-year non-compete, the group ventured into sports (Astro Park - India's leading sports infrastructure company) and hospitality (Pelican hospitality - Food court operator in a large IT park). After the expiry of the non-compete in 2019, the promoters have forayed back into the logistics space with Airlift Services & Pelican Shipping & Clearing Agency. Airlift is an asset-light bonded trucking provider. It also plans on setting up warehouses to cater to its LTL operations. Airlift started operations in 2019 with clients like Malindo, Sri Lankan Airlines, Saudi Cargo, and other prominent freight forwarders. Pelican Shipping & clearing provides customs clearance services to freight forwarders across India.
