Operations Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Designing science-related event programs for birthday parties, carnivals, and schools
2. Training the team on how to finally deliver the content to the audience
3. Teaching science to children with hands-on experiments and science toy making (guidance will be given on what to and how to teach)
4. Giving demonstrations in science shows and teaching kids in a workshop
5. Preparing the classroom for a workshop and handling the pre-preparation, and post-classroom set up
6. Presenting engaging, interactive, and scientifically accurate live Science shows, and/or hands-on workshop experiences
7. Setting the tone for a positive kid experience: welcome each kid, determining if they would like any assistance, provide the information to guide their experience
8. Engaging with kids on an individual level and inspiring an interest in science and technology through discussion and interpretation through hands-on interactive activities
9. Ensuring all content shared with kids is scientifically accurate and actively seeking participation from the kids
10. Promoting safety and security and protecting assets
11. Organizing large groups of school children at carnivals and working in a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
12. Attending mandatory training and meetings
