Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include working closely on building Khoon Pune to aid Blood Donations in Pune.

It provides an essential service within India and is rated amongst the best in India in the provision of blood and blood products as well as in relation to the research and training provided. Khoon operates across all of India. Khoon is further regarded as a trusted partner of Facebook India and the Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Service, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
The mission of Khoon, an organization of voluntary, non-remunerated blood donors, is to provide all patients with sufficient, safe, and quality blood products and medical services related to blood transfusion in an equitable, cost-effective manner, and to assist government and non-governmental bodies to improve the impact in the blood transfusion space.
