About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Organizing 'Habit Change for Climate Change' campaign in at least 5 schools in your city
2. Engaging students of these schools to segregate single-use plastic (SUP) from the rest of the waste and imprisoning all SUP in pet bottles (eco-bricks)
3. Taking weekly online sessions (Google Meet/Zoom) on history, market, impact, and policies on SUP in India as per shared content
4. Motivating students for creative writing (i.e. poetry, story, short films, concept note of their ideas on plastic waste management)
5. Motivating students to lead this campaign in their community and school
6. Developing a weekly report of the activities and posting them on our website
7. Working on channelizing collection of eco-bricks and sending it to the nearest PRO, ULB for recycling within 10 weeks
8. Sharing a list of schools and students involved, so that their participation certificates can be issued

About Footprint

We are a subsidiary website of Tarumitra, 'friends of trees' that has been owning UN consultative status since 2005 and is a movement led by students for ecological sensitivity. Since then, we have been providing platforms with capable volunteers/student leaders at various UN forums and meetings to discuss environmental issues, solutions, and ideas with world leaders and policymakers. Footprint has objectives to promote sustainable development goals set by the UN, bring habit change, and generate awareness on the segregation of waste for resource recovery. Youth and students of various educational institutions are being mobilized for the campaign #ImprisionPlastic.
