About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Making a catalog of publishers
2. Identifying the publishers based on their focus of publishing
3. Building individual contacts with the publishers and proposing publishing of books and literary translations of books
4. Contacting international publishers and arranging the buying of rights and licences for live performances based on the international books
5. Reading the unpublished manuscripts of books to understand the genres we want to pitch for publishing
6. Building individual and healthy relationships with the publishers

If you wish to apply all the theoretical learnings of your college/institute in a practical environment, this internship is for you. While the internship lasts for a specific period, we are highly concerned about the real growth of the candidates working and learning with us.

Kabuliwala Storytelling and Theatre Company are named after Kamal Kabuliwala, originally Kamal Pruthi, the artistic director, who acquired this pen name after his character as Kabuliwala became a rage all over the country, and he went on to do back-to-back 300 solo stage shows all over India and abroad while spearheading the storytelling movement in the country and inspiring thousands of young mothers, storytellers, and artists to take up storytelling as a profession.
