Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Understand business requirements and translate them into an efficient and effective server-side application
2. Develop scalable and high-performance database designs
3. Develop and deploy highly responsive and efficient APIs
4. Collaborate with team lead(s), front-end developers, and other team members in an agile environment for enhancing features, fixing bugs, and developing reusable RESTful APIs
5. Optimize the applications for maximum speed and scalability
6. Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in upcoming technologies
