1. Provide saving options for the poor in a complex post-truth world
2. Collect and document through an internet search of non-academic and academic literature and speak to anyone who may be helpful
3. Find insurance schemes availed by the Government of India and look for banks for the poor
4. Look for life and work insurance schemes, savings schemes, national pension scheme and, government schemes of financial help to individuals below the poverty line, unmarried women, natural calamities, health, etc.
5. Develop a recommended plan for the poor, in the form of a report and a PPT
6. Focus on group discussion FIN will arrange focus group discussions with local leaders and households from Delhi slums to test and validate the recommended plan
What would an intern learn in this internship?
You will learn to think and write scientifically, as you leverage your academic learning to make the lives of the urban poor of India better. You will also learn how to design a research project, how to implement a research project, how to conduct focus group discussions and how to write a scientific report.
