About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Understand the architecture and guide the Data engineering team on the best solution to a problem
2. Devise solutions from a technology perspective on big data technologies like Apache Hadoop, MapReduce
3. Work closely with the different teams to understand and meet business needs through the appropriate design and implementation of the data model(s)

Added requirements

1. Good data analysis skills

2. Ability to use functional programming paradigm and data structures in Scala to optimize the scala code for performance

3. Familiarity with data modeling and database design is a plus

4. Ability to use databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle in Scala

5. Familiarity with messaging frameworks like Kafka, RabbitMQ is a plus

6. Scala with a good functional programming background, Apache Spark

7. Big data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, Kafka

8. Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field in computational science
