Expectations: The Himalayan Writing Retreat is looking for a part-time Social Media Intern. We have social media handles across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and a YouTube channel.
1. Attend literary events (lit fests, book launches, book fairs, conferences, readings, bookstore openings, and anything else literary) in Delhi and cover them on our social media handles
2. Network and gain contacts, and expand our community outreach by attending said events
3. Write synopses of news pieces for the website and social media (example - https://www.instagram.com/p/CoKkNpmhoQf/)
4. Make social media posts to promote new blogs on the website, make a weekly reel/carousel post, and make monthly carousel posts of upcoming fests and contests
5. Keep up to date with all literary news
6. Aid in any other areas, if needed
This is a part-time, Delhi-based, year-long internship and is mutually extendable based on performance.

The Himalayan Writing Retreat is a very niche, specialty learning destination. It was founded by Chetan Mahajan, a published author and an entrepreneur, and Dr. Vandita Dubey, a clinical psychologist and also a published author. The retreat is at 6000 feet, in a small and rather obscure village in Nainital district. If you love the mountains, enjoy writing and can do some basic design, this might be the place for you.
