Akshaya Chaitanya is a not-for-profit social enterprise by HKM Charitable Foundation to eradicate hunger as a vulnerability in Mumbai. Our Swasthya Ahara Program supports 7000+ beneficiaries across 30+ govt. hospital and Bal Shiksha Ahara Program provides breakfast & lunch meals to 8000+ beneficiaries in 104 municipal schools to achieve ZERO classroom hunger. Our aim is to ensure better health and education for our beneficiaries through food security. We are initiating a new project with our CSR Partner, PEPSICO Foundation, to eradicate malnutrition with a scientifically researched product. We will execute the same for 3 to14 to14-year-old students in Balwadis and Municipal Schools in Mumbai with a strong baseline and end-line data.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Take consent forms from school teachers and parents.
2. Administer the compliance of the program, including daily consumption records of students with the help of teachers.
3. Assist the clinical team in executing the baseline and end-line data collection, including bio-markers like hemoglobin levels, vitamin B12, etc.
4. Train students, teachers, and parents on a pre-decided module and collect regular feedback from stakeholders.
5. Visit 3-4 schools every day to carry out the above activities.
Job requirement:
1. Candidate must be fluent in Marathi & shall have good presentation skills
2. Candidate must be willing to travel every day within Mumbai
Duration of the project:
1. 5 months
2. Compensation: Rs. 20,000 to 25,000/- per month plus a daily commute expense.

Akshaya Chaitanya is a not-for-profit social enterprise by the HKM charitable foundation to eradicate hunger from Mumbai. We have partnered with the Medical Education and Drug Department (MEDD) of the Government of Maharashtra and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to provide relief to the families of patients by serving them meals at lunch. Additionally, we are running a feeding program for children in slums and municipal schools. We aim to ensure that we make one lac individuals food-secure by 2025 to help them explore opportunities beyond solving hunger.
