Interns' responsibility is to create a working prototype for hybrid solar inverter (2kVA 5kVA) with
MPPT circuit. The work would include -
1. Analyze and document new or existing solar hybrid inverters
2. Design and analyze analog circuitry, digital signals, PWMs and GPIO
3. Design power stages including estimation of losses and efficiency
4. Design and analyze high frequency magnetics
5. Maintain documentation of all designs
6. Collaborate with in-house / external teams to perform cross-functional tasks as control, testing, layout
7. Perform hands on testing of the inverter
Required skills and qualifications -
1. M-tech (Electronics / ECE) pre-final or final year with focus in 'power electronics'
2. Familiarity with design and analysis of power conversion topologies
3. Familiarity with power semiconductors: MOSFETs, IGBTs, etc.
4. Experience with oscilloscopes, function generators and other testing equipment
5. Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, PSPICE
6. Understanding of MPPT (maximum power point tracker) operation
7. Interest in inverter designing
8. Understanding of how Solar PV system works
Only those candidates can apply who:
1. are available for full time (in-office) internship
2. can start the internship between 23rd May'19 and 27th Jun'19
3. are available for duration of 3 months
