1. Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for warehousing-related materials and services such as storage racks, pallets, packaging materials, and handling equipment.
2. Source and manage FTL (Full Truckload) transportation vendors, ensuring availability, service reliability, and cost-effectiveness across required routes and locations.
3. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with both warehousing suppliers and FTL carriers to support efficient operations and project timelines.
4. Coordinate with internal teams (warehouse, operations, logistics, and projects) to collect sourcing requirements and plan procurement activities across multiple locations.
5. Plan and execute the procurement of FTL services for inbound and outbound movements, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery in alignment with operational needs.
6. Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase requisition (PR), purchase order (PO), goods receipt note (GRN), and coordination of invoicing with the finance team.
7. Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to stay updated on material pricing trends and freight rate fluctuations, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
8. Monitor supplier and carrier performance, addressing issues related to delivery delays, quality deviations, or service breakdowns promptly.
9. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and documentation standards, supporting audits and internal reporting requirements.
10. Align sourcing activities with warehouse expansion and operational timelines, ensuring timely availability of both materials and transportation resources.
11. Verify that all sourced materials meet quality and specification standards, and coordinate with vendors for replacements or corrective actions as needed.
12 Develop and maintain strong relationships with both material vendors and FTL carriers to support long-term sourcing stability, flexibility, and service improvement.
