Support (IT) Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Managing all IT assets for Investec
2. Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT assets for the firm
3. Working on configuration and management of equipment s like desktop, laptop, pcs, smartphone, turrets, printers
4. Deploying patches with the co-ordination of the application team
5. Invoicing and following-up with accounts team for payment
6. Verifying and maintaining the call recording (Redbox)
7. Coordinating with UK's IT desktop support team for escalation and resolution of issues by raising ticket
8. Coordinating for setup on video conference bridges for the end-users/clients
9. Keeping systems up-to-date at DR/BCP Site
10. Providing desktop support, hardware, network & telecom support
11. Working on system monitoring, verifying and reviewing all hardware, systems and key processes, etc.
12. Investigating and troubleshooting all issues related to IT infrastructure for internal teams or clients using telephone/emails, etc.
13. Performing SOD-EOD activities to ensure smooth start-up for trading system when needed
14. Updating exchange terminals (Neat & Neat Plus)
15. Installing new or rebuilding existing servers and configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements of the company/client
16. Participating in IT projects as per requirements
17. Providing 1st level support to various applications
