UI Development Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Create a web application front end as per design comps and information architecture
2. Integrate application front end with application business layer
3. Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
4. Collect feedback from design and technical staff on website development needs
5. Understand executing accessibility and progressive enhancement presentation
6. Stick to established coding standards and group procedures individually and in teams
7. Plan and estimate projects and reports hours to the administration for billing
8. Add to the engineering team s culture of high code quality
9. Coordinate with interface design architects for meeting accessibility standards at the code level
10. Create conceptual diagrams, visual mockups, and manage detailed user interface specifications
11. Conduct usability testing to resolve interface problems

Good to have:

1. A portfolio that demonstrates both JavaScript proficiency and understanding of SOLID design principles (plugins, node packages, etc.)
2. Expert knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools
3. Expert knowledge of HTML5 and its best practices
4. Python Flask Framework, Jinja Templating (Optional)
5. Progressive WebApp Designer
6. Bootstrap, Material Design Framework expertise
7. Knowledge about WebGL (Optional)
