About Aatma Prakash Mental Health Foundation

Aatma Prakash is a not-for-profit organization (Est. 2016) registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. We are 80G and 12AA approved and work specifically in the area of mental health and the well-being of students. We, at the foundation, envision communities that are accepting and empathetic toward developing emotional resilience among youth.

Since October 2021, our team of psychologists and expert facilitators conducted well-being sessions providing intervention and safe spaces with 35,000 children in partnership with Save the Children and Teach For India across 3 districts in M.P. and 9 cities (7 states) across India.

In a survey conducted by Aatma Prakash in this region, it was found that 1 among 3 students are in moderate to high emotional distress and our on-field research with 3000+ students highlights increased levels of anxiety, anger, frustration, fear, and need for one-on-one individual support among students in Barwani district, M.P.
