About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Leading the development of WordPress sites
2. Developing responsive, standards-compliant HTML and CSS3 themes for WordPress
3. Installing, testing, and debugging WordPress plugins and developing new plugins as needed
4. Evaluating designs, wireframes, and other deliverables during the design and user experience phase for potential development issues and flag problems appropriately
5. Conducting peer review of themes created by other developers
6. Conducting cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent display in major supported browsers on Mac, PC, iOS, and Android platforms
7. Communicating the intricacies of complex web development issues, acting as a subject matter expert both internally across departments and externally with clients
8. Working on prototype functionality for internal and client review
9. Building SEO on-page optimized website with keyword finalization as per the industry and optimizing every page for SEO

Added requirements

1. Should have experience in creating and modifying WordPress themes

2. Should have expertise with PHP development

3. Should be expert in HTML & CSS skills with a full understanding of web standards and responsive design techniques

4. Should have familiarity with Sass

5. Should understand of jQuery and other JavaScript libraries

6. Should have the ability to estimate time and level of effort for front-end development tasks

7. Should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

8. Should have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
