Web Development Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Interpreting design requirements and concepts to produce new or enhanced application functionalities
2. Creating well designed, reusable objects
3. Planning and overseeing phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for assigned projects
4. In conjunction with the Data Analysis team, understanding the benefits of complex database concepts, as well as the implications of different database designs for development projects
5. In conjunction with your manager, assisting in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications
6. In conjunction with your manager, designing and executing development plans, revising as necessary to meet project requirements
7. Recommending system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchasing alternatives
8. Communicating and collaborating with all project team members to ensure high quality and timely project delivery
9. Documenting, communicating and enforcing best practice coding standards, both internally and with outside vendors
10. Running and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing applications for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
11. Administering critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
12. Assisting in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines
